Art of lasting value
In March 2014, I was fortunate to participate in The European Fine Art Fare (TEFAF) in Masstrict, the Netherlands.
An article by Earl Spencer, younger brother of the late Princess Diana, talks about a sad phenomenon in British society.
Therefore, private castles and the wealth in them are the pride of each family, passed down from generation to generation. Unless bankrupt, these assets cannot be sold or divided.
Earl Spencer believes that foreign wives often lack understanding or affection for their husband’s family heirloom art collections, so to them, they only have monetary value.
Europeans love and value art and fine arts in a crazy and very personal way.
Back to that day’s trip to the TEFAL exhibition in Masstrict, with us were a couple of close friends, a French husband and a Japanese wife.

Money is not the measure of a woman’s wealth, our attitude and understanding do it.
