If youth is an arrow
People often say that the privilege of youth is trial and error.
Marzuz: Every day I wake up is a different version
Marzuz’s real name is Tran My Anh, born in 2000. Born into a family with an artistic tradition, she started studying, playing music and composing at the age of 11.
Her words and melodies are sometimes clear and gentle, like: `Do you want to go all the way with me? It’s a bit far, but with you I don’t know how long it is` (Mai);
Although he works independently and is still young, Marzuz has his own sense of image and clearly understands his musical personality.
Marzuz has a loyal and stable fan base, even though she doesn’t release work often.
Recently, Marzuz has appeared in shows for music lovers with his unique image and trendy items loved by young people such as Gucci wide-brimmed hats, Surpeme oversized coats, horseshoe leather boots,
A year of many changes for everyone, but for Marzuz, it seems like you are transforming?
I always feel like I wake up every day and become a different version of myself.
Sometimes I wonder if I have the courage to pursue the career of a singer-songwriter or am I only suited to composing for others to sing?
Even so, you still take a leisurely musical path, producing works very slowly?
I’m very lucky to have loyal music listeners who are always by my side despite the few new works.
I’m not too afraid of `disappearing` because I believe my audience understands and feels the different colors and stories in each of my songs.
The next story Marzuz will tell the audience will be…
Still things associated with everyday life.
This change may not be a hit, but it is my story.
“I am proud of my family and feel extremely lucky to be influenced by my father or Ms. Ha.
How did Marzuz grow and accept the world around him?
When I started pursuing a career in music, I chose an unfamiliar stage name that didn’t sound like anyone else’s because I didn’t want others to mention my family too much.
Currently, I no longer feel uncomfortable or pay attention to other people’s comments.
How do you overcome the shadows of giants in your mind?
Actually, I’m still in that shadow (laughs).
What does Marzuz think about young people around the world giving strong opinions on social issues such as the environment, feminism…?
Being an artist, almost everyone has many thoughts about society and life, but each person will have a different way of acting and sharing.
For younger people pursuing an independent artistic path, what advice does Marzuz have for you?
Always remember why you started.
