Jojoba oil
Jojoba oil is a liquefied wax extracted from the seeds of an American shrub with the scientific name Simmondsia chinensis.
Jojoba seeds have long been used by Native American tribes, with the name taken from the O’odham word `Hohowi`.

The special thing about jojoba oil is that it is similar to sebum – natural sebum from sebaceous glands on human skin.
Moisturizing
Skin cleansing products strip away the natural oils that sebaceous glands secrete to moisturize the skin.

Dry skin is more sensitive to irritants and dirt, which can lead to acne or other skin diseases.
Jojoba oil can be used to replenish essential oils in the skin and create a protective barrier on the skin from environmental damage.

Oil control
Oily skin is the result of overactive sebaceous glands.

Treats dandruff and controls hair loss
When hair grows from the follicle, it carries with it a layer of sebum from the sebaceous glands in each follicle.
Jojoba oil will penetrate hair follicles, dissolve sebum and unclog hair follicles, creating conditions for faster hair growth.
