This is Dang Phuong Viet’s 6th solo exhibition, specializing in the theme of Lotus.
The artist’s full name is Dang Phuong Viet, but he is more commonly known as Viet Sen, meaning Viet specializes in drawing lotus flowers.
In Buddhism, the pure lotus flower indicates the pure Dharma body, meaning that from the impermanent body of every sentient being, there is an eternally pure body that is neither born nor destroyed.
Viet’s paintings bring a feeling of closeness, perhaps because their message points to pure beauty, to the goodness in each being.
The way of drawing has taken shape early and has not changed over the years. What Viet is interested in is focusing on research and practice to get closer and closer to understanding the pure beauty of the lotus, on the other hand, always trying to improve
With this exhibition `Lotus in Vietnam`, Viet wants to introduce his new perspective on the beauty of precious flowers, as well as the transformation and sublimation in his creativity.
